Why is the price range limited for real-time prospect searches in connectMLS?

For real-time searches, the price range must stay within certain limits:

• For searches under $2,000,000, the price range cannot exceed $1,000,000. 
• For searches above $2,000,000, the price range cannot exceed $2,000,000. 

For example, when searching below $2,000,000, you can only search in $1,000,000 increments:

• Allowed: $0–$1,000,000 
• Allowed: $1,000,000–$2,000,000 
• Not Allowed: $0–$2,000,000 
• Not Allowed: $500,000–$2,000,000

Once searching above $2,000,000, the range can increase in $2,000,000 increments.

• Allowed: $2,000,000–$4,000,000 
• Allowed: $3,000,000–$5,000,000 
• Not Allowed: $2,000,000–$7,000,000
• Not Allowed: $5,000,000–$10,000,000

These limits are in place to help prevent clients from being spammed and receiving an excessive number of listing alerts too frequently from real-time searches.
