Active Market Code Statuses (MC=A)
New (NEW*): A new listing. Available for showings. Listings must be entered into the MLS within 48 hours of the listing agreement or within 24 hours of advertising to the general public, whichever comes first.
The New status will show on connectMLS for five days (unless a status change is made to the listing) and then revert to an Active status. If you make a typographical error in the List Price when entering a listing, go to “Edit Listing Status” and choose New from the drop down menu.
Active (ACTV): An active listing. Available for showings.
Price Change (PCHG*): A listing showing a change in list price. A new list price is required. The Price Change status will show on connectMLS for five days (unless a status change is made to the listing) and then revert to an Active status.
Active-Temporarily No Showings (TEMP): A property that is still listed with an exclusive brokerage agreement in effect and is not under contract for purchase. The property is unable to be shown, except for reasonable restrictions noted on the listing in the showing instructions.
Reactivated (RACT*): A listing that was previously showing Contingent, Pending or Temporarily No Showings. The Reactivated status will show on connectMLS for five days (unless an additional status change is made to the listing) and then revert to an Active status. Available for showings.
Contingent (CTG): A contingent listing. Contingent listings are active properties in which backup offers can be presented. Click here to learn more about contingency flags. Status changes for CTG listings must be completed within 48 hours after the date of execution to be defined as “the date of the last required signature” (including weekends and holidays).
Note: Continue to Show field is required when marking the listing CTG. Broker Private Remarks field will display when placing into contingent Status so the Agent can edit as deemed necessary. Contract date and selling agent ID are required, but will only display to the Listing and Buyer offices and agents involved in the transaction.
Back on Market (BOMK*): A listing previously showing Canceled, Closed, Expired or Rented status. The Back on Market status will show on connectMLS for five days (unless an additional status change is made to the listing) and then revert to an Active status. Available for showings.
Auction (AUCT): A listing that is being marketed for sale by auction. Available for showings. Auction Date, Auction Price Description and Opening Bid/Reserve Price are required and will display on the Detail Reports. If a listing is in the AUCT status, the only status change options to the user will be CANC, CLSD and RACT. A placeholder photo is also added to auction listings.
*Status will remain in the system for five days before going to Active.
