All listings in MRED are required to have an expiration date. What happens on that date depends on the listing’s current status.
Here’s what to expect:
Active
Expires on the expiration date.
Contingent (CTG)
Expires two days after the expiration date.
Pending (PEND)
Expires six months after the expiration date.
Hold
Expires on the expiration date.
Temporary (TEMP)
Expires one day after the expiration date.
Important Notes
The expiration date is set when the listing is entered and can be modified before it expires, if needed.
If a listing needs to remain in the MLS, it must be extended before the expiration date. If it has already expired, a status change form will be required.
