When will my Listing expire?

Modified on Wed, 25 Feb at 11:45 AM

All listings in MRED are required to have an expiration date. What happens on that date depends on the listing’s current status.

Here’s what to expect:

Active

  • Expires on the expiration date.

Contingent (CTG)

  • Expires two days after the expiration date.

Pending (PEND)

  • Expires six months after the expiration date.

Hold

  • Expires on the expiration date.

Temporary (TEMP)

  • Expires one day after the expiration date.

Important Notes

  • The expiration date is set when the listing is entered and can be modified before it expires, if needed.

  • If a listing needs to remain in the MLS, it must be extended before the expiration date. If it has already expired, a status change form will be required.
