Cloning a listing in connectMLS is your shortcut to faster, more accurate entries—letting you focus on what matters most. By choosing to clone, you’re not just saving time; you’re ensuring that your data is reliable, consistent, and perfectly tailored to your needs.

Step-by-Step Guide to Cloning a Listing

  1. Sign in to connectMLS and hover over "Listings" in the top menu.
  2. Select "Add New Listing" to start.
  3. In Step 3: How do you want to enter Listing Data?, choose either:
    • Auto-populate from Tax & MLS data (Clone + Tax): Best for combining previously entered data with tax records.
    • Auto-populate from MLS data (Clone): Ideal for pulling only MLS data from a previous listing.
  4. Enter the property information, using only the house number and street name if choosing to find former entries via address—no need for a street suffix.
  5. Click "Next", and select the data you want to clone.
  6. Review all cloned data carefully to ensure accuracy and make any necessary adjustments. Even when cloning from reliable sources, it's essential to verify that all details reflect the current listing.
  7. Once confirmed, proceed with your new listing!
